About The Taiwan Encyclopedia of Life operated by Academia Sinica Center for Digital Cultures: In 2011, Academia Sinica and the Forestry Bureau cooperated to launch the Taiwan Encyclopedia of Life, promoting sustainability and education for biodiversity conservation. Gathering all pertinent information for each species on its own webpage, the Encyclopedia has now recorded data for over one third of known species in Taiwan. This site is a partner in the international Encyclopedia of Life project, showcasing the beauty of Taiwan’s biodiversity.
