Médiathèque Jacques-Chirac, Troyes Champagne Métropole Coloring Book 2021
About the Médiathèque Jacques-Chirac, Troyes Champagne Métropole: The Médiathèque Jacques-Chirac, located in Troyes, houses France’s second largest collection of ancient medieval manuscripts, most of which were copied and decorated by hand in the workshop of the former Clairvaux Abbey, one of the largest libraries in the western Christian world in the Middle Ages. In recognition of this incredible heritage, the collection was included in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register in 2009. The library’s collection also features around 400 early prints and printed books dating from the start of the 16th century, and a collection of 3,700 booklets and almanacs from the Bibliothèque bleue, a collection published in Troyes in the 16th-18th centuries, and sold by peddlers.
