Seguin Public Library Coloring Book 2020

Seguin Public Libary Coloring Book 2020

About the Seguin Public Library: From its humble beginnings in 1930 as a single bookcase in the city’s municipal office, to the 43,000 square foot open concept “treehouse” that we know and love today, the Seguin Public Library has always held an important place in the heart of the citizens of Seguin and Guadalupe County. We are dedicated to providing our community with resources that promote literacy and learning and an atmosphere where people can gather and share ideas. This coloring book was created using illustrations from the Amy Freeman Lee Collection.
A Seguin native, Dr. Amy freeman Lee (1914 – 2004) was a renowned artist, lecturer, and humanist. Mrs. Lee donated this collection of books and records to the Seguin Guadalupe County Public Library in 1961, according to a letter written by a Library Board Member. The original intent, the letter says, was to house the books and records until such a time that they could be “held as a separate collection for the in-house use of serious researchers.” The titles in this coloring book were taken from Mrs. Lee’s collection of Limited Editions Club books.
