About the CRAI Library at University of Barcelona – Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library: The Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI) at University of Barcelona was founded in 2004 in an effort to adapt the existing University of Barcelona library structures to the demands of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Research Area (ERA). It manages a vast selection of information resources in different formats and it holds one of the most remarkable heritage collections in Spain. The importance of the Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library derives from the size and quality of the collection it houses, which also contains a set of engravings and parchments and donations, such as the Grewe collection on food and gastronomy.
